Before Everything - 24 x 30” Original

Before everything, there was silence.

A space untouched by expectations, definitions, or the need to become something.

Before Everything explores that quiet moment when nothing has yet been decided, when possibility exists without form and beauty emerges without intention.

Using only black paint and layers of white gesso, the painting is an expression of pure spontaneity. There are no recognizable figures, no landscapes, no story imposed upon the canvas.

Only texture, light, shadow, and contrast.

The white surfaces rise and fall, catching the light and revealing subtle variations that change with every glance. The black interrupts, creating spaces that feel both empty and full of possibility.

There is a quiet tension between presence and absence, structure and freedom, stillness and movement.

Before Everything is a reminder that not everything needs to be understood, explained, or even named.

Sometimes, beauty exists simply because we allow it to.

Before the thought. Before the form. Before everything.
