Ascension - 30 x 50 Original

ASCENSION is about a world in transition.

For billions of years, Earth has been evolving, forming, breaking apart, rebuilding, transforming. And perhaps that evolution is not finished.

Perhaps neither are we.

In Ascension, Earth appears suspended between dimensions. The deep darkness above represents the vastness of the universe and everything we have yet to understand. Gold rises through the painting like energy—illumination, consciousness, possibility. The reds and ochres hold us to the physical world, while the luminous sphere seems to be moving beyond it.

It is not a painting about leaving our world behind.

It is about becoming something more within it.

I imagine Ascension in a home almost as an energetic presence. Its gold brings warmth and light into a room; its deep shadows create grounding and depth; its red carries vitality and life. The painting changes as the light around it changes, sometimes revealing darkness, sometimes radiating gold.

It is meant to remind us that transformation is not something to fear.

Everything in the universe is moving.
Everything is becoming.
Nothing remains exactly as it was.

And perhaps the same is true of us.

Ascension invites us to live with that energy—to release what has been, trust what is changing, and remain open to what we cannot yet see.

Because evolution is not the end of something.
It is the beginning of what comes next.
