AMANI — The Art of Surrender

Amani does not pray for the storm to end.

She prays for the wisdom to understand it.

Around her, the world shifts. Things she loves disappear. Certainties crumble. People come and go. Joy gives way to sorrow, and sorrow eventually gives way to something else.

But Amani remains.

Not because she is untouched by pain, but because she has learned something most of us spend a lifetime resisting:

Nothing is permanent.

She no longer asks, Why is this happening to me?

Instead, she closes her eyes, turns inward, and trusts that even the moments she cannot understand are part of a journey already unfolding.

There is no struggle in her prayer.

Only surrender.

She knows that acceptance is not weakness. It is the moment we stop demanding that life be different from what it is.

And somewhere inside that surrender, she finds freedom.

The storm will pass.
The sadness will pass.
The fear will pass.
Even she will one day pass.

So for now, she breathes.

She trusts.

She accepts.

And she is at peace.

Amani reminds us that perhaps peace doesn't come when everything finally goes right. Perhaps peace comes when we understand that everything was always meant to change.
